Altered Treat Bag and Gift Box for Valentines Day

I don't know about you, but I love the color pink and when it comes to creating projects for Valentines Day I gravitate more towards pinks and reds. As a crafter I'm always thinking ahead when it comes to holidays. With Valentines Day just around the corner, I knew my I Am Roses flowers would make the perfect statement on an altered treat bag and an altered gift box for Valentines Day.

Weekend Whimsy - Bloom Where you are Planted Mini Album

Hello crafty friends!

I'm excited to share my first design team project for Kiwi Lane Designs. I'm honored and excited to be apart of such a wonderful team of talented ladies! Be sure to stop by the Kiwi blog and check out the the design team!

Thanks for joining me for this edition of Weekend Whimsy! I’m excited to share a fun simple mini album I created using designer templates: Tags 5 and Tags 7.

I love a good challenge and I also love to think outside the box when it comes to creating with my Kiwi Lane templates!  I love creating small interactive mini albums and Tags 5 and Tags 7 are the perfect templates for the outside and inside pages of a mini album.

A special thanks to our friends over at Authentique for their amazing Season’s “Spring” paper collection. I used 2 piece of pattern paper from this collection to create my mini album along with sticker embellishments and paper cut outs.  I just love the color combination of cream, pink, turquoise and green in this collection. It was perfect for showcasing my daughter's photo's from when she donated her hair to Locks of Love, all 17 inches of it!

Inside pages

I created a video tutorial to share with you just how I created this mini album. So what are you waiting for?  Sit back, relax and enjoy as I show you how to create this fun, simple mini album using Tags 5, Tags 7 and 2 pieces of double sided Authentique paper.

Thanks for joining me for Weekend Whimsy!

It's a New Year! Let the Scrapbooking Begin!

Wow! I can't believe it's 2013!
I'm so excited for this year, I can't wait to start sharing with you all the new project's I'll be creating for Kiwi Lane Designs!
To hold you over, I created a super fast and simple scrapbook layout of my oldest son and his dad. I've had these pictures hanging out on my scrap desk for well over a month, and I finally was inspired to scrapbook them. I love using my Kiwi Lane templates, they really help speed up the process of creating scrapbook layouts. Be sure to stop by the Kiwi blog today as they are having a blog hop with some amazing designers sharing just what you can create with some of the Kiwi templates!

Thought it would be fun to show you a before of my layout, as you can see from my final layout I added more elements as I started creating! LOL!
