Play the Music Scrapbook Layout

Thanks for joining me today! I'm excited to be sharing my last guest design team project for Little Blue Button Stamps with you.  I've had a blast guest designing for LBB and coloring all the wonderful digi images Olga has created. Be sure to stop by her website and check out her shop.

For todays project I created a scrapbook layout using the digi "Enjoy the Music".

I colored the image, "Enjoy the Music" with my Copic Markers and paper pieced her dress and record player. I added some black puffy paint to the record to make it look like a real vinyl record.

I used a valentine collection by American Crafts, and added a few pieces of paper to my white card stock along with a music patterned paper from My Minds Eye. I chose two pictures of my daughter because she loves music as well as she plays classical guitar. I added some music notes and a few more embellishments along with some mist splatters to my layout. I just love how adorable this digi, "Enjoy the music" looks on my layout. A perfect embellishment to add to any of your music themed crafts!

Thanks for joining me today and don't forget to stop by Little Blue Button Stamps and check out all the adorable digi images and rubber stamps.

Happy scrapping!

MSS "You're a life saver" Candy Card

I'm so excited about todays My Style Stamps project! If you've been following along this month, you already know that I've been working with the stamp set "Love Wally". I've been having so much fun creating different projects with this stamp set and sharing how versatile it is. Well todays project has got to be my favorite project using the "Love Wally" stamp set.

I created what I'm calling a Candy Card. I cut a 6x6 card base out of white textured card stock, then cut a 4.5 square out of the middle of the front cover of the 6x6 card base. I used red ink around the smaller square to highlight it. I backed the inside of my card with a navy blue corrugated paper from DCWV. I stamped out 3 life preservers from the stamp set and embossed them with red embossing powder. I cut them out and attached them to 3 Life Savers mint candies. I attached some red bakers string to each of the mints and added them to my card. I stamped directly onto the front of the card using the anchor stamp which I also adore. For my candy card's sentiment I used the "You're a life saver" stamp. I love how well that sentiment went with the whole theme of my card!

I had a ton of fun creating this candy card using the "Love Wally" stamp set from My Style Stamps! Be sure to stop by the MSS's shop and check out this stamp set along with all the others.

You Anchor Me Scrapbook Layout

I'm alive!  The icky bug has been going around our house! Ugh...it's gone through two of my kiddos, one of which is still sick and me. I've finally managed to gain some of my strength back and get out of bed. I hate being sick especially when you know you are needed when others are sick too. I'm very thankful my husband steps right up to the plate and takes over. He is such a good man! I feel extremely lucky to be married to him! He is my anchor!

For today's blog post I wanted to share a design team project I created for My Style Stamps. I'm working with the "Love Wally" stamp set this month. Be sure to stop by MSS's shop and check out this adorable stamp set along with all the other stamps available.

I knew as soon as I saw this stamp set that I wanted to create a scrapbook layout using a few of the stamps. For our 15 yr. anniversary, my husband and I celebrated with a trip to Hawaii. I'm still working on scrapping our entire trip, and the "Love Wally" stamps were perfect for this layout of my husband and I while snorkeling.

Click on layout to see the details of the stamping.

I created the background of my layout using the open heart stamp and the tiny bubbles. (click on layout above to see the details) I stamped all over a textured white cardstock. I used a mask/template from my stash for the sailboat and sprayed it with blush from Heidi Swapp. I inked all the edges of the cardstock along with my photos. I placed 3 6x6 pieces of paper also from my design team package this month on my layout. These papers were perfect in color and pattern for my layout. (Papers are from the Serendipity collection) I wanted my photos to look as if they had an overlay on them or as if they had been printed on. I took the "You anchor me" stamp and stamped directly onto one of my photos along with the open heart stamp. I just love how versatile this stamp set is! I also stamped the adorable fish and anchor onto my other photos on this layout. I love this technique!!! I finished off my layout by adding a fun pink feather and a few seashell embellishments along with some washi tape I received in my design team package.

Here are a few more photos.

Be sure to check out my youtube video for a tutorial on how I stamped on my photos.

Altered Chinese Take-Out Box

I still can't believe Valentines Day is just around the corner! For todays guest designer project for Little Blue Button Stamps, I created an altered Chinese take-out box. I thought this would be a fun way to give someone special a Valentines gift.

I colored "Sally" a digi image from Little Blue Button stamps using my Copic Markers. I kept her very simple, but gave her bold black hair. I love the soft contrast of her pink dress with her pale skin and black hair!

I altered the Chinese take-out box by adding a piece of pattern paper to the box that coordinated with my color scheme. Felt heart trim to the top and bottom of the box and in the middle I added a piece of lace. I wanted a bit of dimension, so I added a layered Valentines sticker and popped "Sally" off the box using pop dots.

I decided to add a few I Am Roses flowers to the top of the box along with a big pink bow.  For another added touch, I cut out a few butterflies and hearts which I placed on the flowers and one butterfly in "Sally's" hair.

I just love the way my altered Chinese take-out box turned out. I can't wait to fill it up with some yummy goodies and give it to that special Valentine friend.

Thanks for joining me today. Happy Scrapping - Leslie

What's Floppin' Card for My Style Stamps

I'm so excited to share my first design team project for My Style Stamps! I have been having so much fun using this Newly released stamp set "Love Wally"! Be sure to stop by MSS shop and check out all the adorable high quality stamp sets available.

I created a fun whimsical card featuring the star of the "Love Wally" stamp set, Wally!
I colored Wally using a mix of Copic markers and my AC Chromatix. I used DCWV Corrugate Neutrals stack, in cream for the back of my card. I cut various patterns of paper from the Memories Captured, Fancy Pants collection and inked all the edges. I sprinkled the ice Wally is sitting on with Diamond Dust to give it that glass like look. To finish off my card I added a few layers of trim, some twine, enamel dots and I hand cut a flag which I stamped "What's Floppin'?" from the "Love Wally" stamp set. I just adore this stamp set and I know you will too!

Thanks for joining me today! Don't forget to stop by My Style Stamps and cheek out all the adorable stamps including this stamp set.
